The fifth President of Georgia states that she believes in the possibility of a change of power through elections: “this is a stable and peaceful path for the country,” Salome Zourabichvili said in a video address shared on social media.
“I believe in elections. I want the departure of ‘Georgian Dream’ (the ruling party) and the arrival of a new government for this country to occur through elections, because it is a stable and peaceful path for the country that will not hinder development.
On the contrary, it will very quickly get us back on track. Otherwise, we would be opening the path to unrest and destabilization, and there is no telling how things would turn out; therefore, I cannot and will not take such responsibility,” Salome Zourabichvili stated.
