Leaders of the “Alliance of the Opposition” are holding a meeting with the British Ambassador. As the opposition figures told the Pirveli television company, they intend to brief the diplomat on the alliance and request targeted assistance from the international community.

“We intend to explain that the alliance’s task is not just to defeat the regime. Our goal is to restore public faith in democracy, and that is why we are starting with ourselves. This is a kind of democratic reboot project. Secondly, we will discuss how we plan to defeat the regime, our path to victory, and what specifically we are asking from the international community on this path to ensure Russia’s defeat in this country and to ensure Georgia becomes part of the free world,” stated Tamar Chergoleishvili, leader of the “Federalists.”

Giorgi Baramidze, political secretary of the “National Movement” (United National Movement), noted that Great Britain, like Georgia’s other friends, supports the Georgian people in their aspiration to make the country civilized, peaceful, and European.

“We are communicating with all of Georgia’s friends about how to save the country from this treacherous and criminal pro-Russian gang that is leading Georgia toward isolation and toward Russia. Great Britain, like Georgia’s other friends, supports the Georgian people in ensuring Georgia is a civilized, peaceful, European, united, and prosperous country, and does not support this treacherous and criminal gang collaborating with Russia,” Baramidze stated.
