Giga Parulava, an MP from the “Gakharia for Georgia” party, stated that the “Opposition Alliance” is an association that essentially plays into the hands of the “Georgian Dream” party’s policies.
According to the MP, it is better to learn everything about what is happening inside the “Alliance” from “Dream” itself and the SSG (State Security Service of Georgia), as they can provide detailed accounts of the structure’s plans.
Parulava recalled that Mamuka Mdinaradze, the former head of the SSG, essentially confirmed on air that the “provocative revolutionary scenario” of the October 4 events—an attempted storming of the presidential palace—was developed in the “Georgian Dream” office and the State Security Service.
The member of the parliamentary opposition stated that a few days ago, Mdinaradze spoke openly about individuals planted within opposition parties, as well as the events of October 4. Parulava emphasized that his team had warned the public in advance that this scenario was planned specifically within government structures, adding that Mdinaradze himself admitted this after his dismissal from the SSG.
The MP believes that the “Opposition Alliance” includes political forces that were involved in organizing the October 4 events, thereby effectively facilitating the implementation of “Georgian Dream’s” policies.
He pointed out that a number of current statements and actions by alliance representatives, including Mikheil Saakashvili, the former president of Georgia, in his opinion, objectively strengthen the ruling party’s propaganda line.
“Unfortunately, the ‘Alliance’ is a political association that facilitates the policy of ‘Georgian Dream’,” Parulava concluded.
