Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has commented on his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to him, the meeting was held behind closed doors, and he described the exchange as overall friendly and interesting.
Kobakhidze noted that President Zelenskyy himself initiated a brief dialogue on the sidelines of the 8th European Political Community (EPC) summit, and the Georgian side immediately confirmed its readiness for the meeting.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Ukraine is a friendly country for Georgia.
“…We had a friendly and interesting conversation. The initiative came from the President himself; we immediately confirmed our readiness and discussed bilateral relations. This was essentially the subject of the talk, and I will emphasize once again that the conversation was interesting and very friendly.
Ukraine is a friendly country for us; we are bound by a traditional historical friendship that unites our states and peoples. We must preserve these relations to the greatest extent possible, and this was the sentiment I shared with the President. I cannot disclose the details,” the Georgian Prime Minister noted.
