The third stage of first-grade registration for the 2026-2027 academic year (registration based on the territorial principle) will begin on May 15 and run until May 25, according to the Ministry of Education and Science.
“Territorial registration will be conducted in 12 cities: Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Zugdidi, Ambrolauri, Ozurgeti, Akhaltsikhe, Gori, Mtskheta, Telavi, and Poti.
Registration is based on the address recorded in the electronic database of the Public Service Development Agency as of April 15, 2026.
For individuals whose place of residence is listed as the occupied territories (Abkhazia, Tskhinvali, Akhalgori), the school district will be determined based on the legal address provided by the Agency for Internally Displaced Persons, Ecomigrants and Livelihood Provision (as of April 15, 2026).
The submission of necessary documentation for the enrollment of an electronically registered student will take place at schools from May 27 to June 12 inclusive. In the event that documents are not submitted within the established deadlines, the registration will be automatically canceled.
Before registration begins, parents can check in advance which schools are available for their child’s registration.

- A copy of the legal representative’s identity document and a document confirming the right to reside in Georgia (if applicable);
- A copy of the child’s birth certificate, identity document, or a document confirming the right to reside in Georgia (if applicable).
