The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, has departed for an official visit to China, according to the press service of the Georgian Parliament.
This marks the first official visit by a Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia to China in the last 20 years. Papuashvili is scheduled to hold high-level meetings.
The delegation includes First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament and head of the Georgia-China Parliamentary Friendship Group Gia Volski, Vice-Speakers Nino Tsilosani and Sozar Subari, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze, and Chairman of the Agrarian Issues Committee Gela Samkharauli.
