Following the solemn ceremony on Georgia’s Independence Day, British Ambassador Gareth Ward noted that the military oath-taking ceremony for recruits was emotional for him and left a deep impression.

“Today’s oath-taking ceremony at Freedom Square made a deep impression on me. The Georgian Defence Forces are proud guardians of sovereignty and independence. Therefore, I was pleased to convey the congratulatory message of His Majesty the King,” the diplomat wrote.
