Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the Opposition Alliance, stated at a protest rally that a new demonstration will take place in the near future, along with “new real elections,” after which, he said, the founder of Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, will be “removed from the country’s political system.”

One of the leaders of Ahali declared that a nationwide campaign called “Georgia Deserves Better” is launching, which, he said, is set to culminate in holding new democratic elections.

The opposition politician also urged the rally participants to turn on their flashlights to welcome Georgia’s international partners, including the US, the EU, and the UK.

Gvaramia also mentioned US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, stating that Georgia must be a place where the country’s friends meet.

The politician also expressed support for the jailed participants of the protests of November–December 2024 and 2025, as well as emigrants, calling them “invisible participants of the rally.”

“From here, I want to greet the invisible participants of this rally—Georgian political prisoners, all of them without exception: those detained in 2023, 2024, 2025, everyone who is a patriot and who is serving an unjust sentence for Georgia. I also want to greet the invisible participants of this rally—Georgian emigrants, who will be here in person once Bidzina Ivanishvili is no longer in this country,” the opposition politician emphasized.

Nika Gvaramia urged participants to record short video messages on social media, in which they should share their expectations of the opposition and the future of Georgia, noting that these recordings would be “reviewed and taken into account.”
