US Congressman Joe Wilson commented on a statement by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who called on “Georgian Dream” to change its course. Writing on the social media platform X, Wilson stated:
“The anti-American ‘Georgian Dream’ regime is facilitating the illicit activities of Iran and the Communist Party of China (CCP), while wrongfully detaining its own citizens.
Grateful to President Trump for demanding behavioral change from this rogue state!”
Earlier, journalist Alex Raufoglu wrote on social media that Rubio stated Washington had set conditions for improving the strained relations between the US and Georgia:
“Washington is demanding a change in Tbilisi’s behavior following warnings from Congress that ‘Georgian Dream’ is facilitating the evasion of sanctions against Iran and deepening ties with Beijing.”
