Georgian Health Ministry to continue working with parents of patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy

Health Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze stated that protecting the interests of patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy remains the top priority, and all future decisions will be made with this specific goal in mind.

This was stated following a working meeting with parents of patients suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, which addressed issues related to sourcing information about medications, as well as future plans for patient treatment and support.

Sarjveladze emphasized that all decisions will be made primarily in the best interests of the patients. The participants also discussed other important aspects of the effective management and support of people with this condition.

The Ministry of Health noted that such working group meetings will continue.
