Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili stated that the Russian Federation’s occupation of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region poses a security challenge for the region as a whole.
The Minister thanked official Ankara and official Baku for their firm support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Russia’s occupation of two Georgian regions – Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region – and the situation in the occupied territories represent a security challenge not only for Georgia, but for the entire region.
The support of the international community for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia is of particular importance, and I would like to once again express my gratitude to the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Azerbaijan for their firm support,” Botchorishvili stated.
