Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that his government is interested in the normalization of relations between the EU and Georgia, as well as between the US and Georgia. Noting that this is Yerevan’s official position, he added that Armenia will nevertheless continue to develop relations with Georgia regardless of these circumstances.

“As I have already said, we are interested in the normalization of relations between the European Union and Georgia, as well as between the US and Georgia—this is our position. But beyond that, regardless of these circumstances, our cooperation and relations with Georgia will certainly continue to develop consistently. This is a brotherly country for us, we are bound by a strategic partnership, and we will definitely continue to strengthen our relations,” Pashinyan emphasized.

The Armenian Prime Minister also shared that shortly before the start of the press conference, he had spoken by phone with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in an informal setting.
