Georgian UFC fighter Ilia Topuria has suffered the first defeat of his career, losing his championship belt. He lost to Justin Gaethje (28-5) in a fight for the UFC lightweight championship belt.
The bout lasted four rounds, and the Georgian fighter was unable to continue in the fifth round due to an eye injury.
The tournament took place on the grounds of the White House. It was dedicated to the 250th anniversary of US independence. It was attended by around 4,000 spectators and US President Donald Trump.
Topuria now has 17 wins and one defeat in his professional MMA career.
