Mikheil Kavelashvili, the sixth president of Georgia, and Aleksandar Vučić, the president of Serbia, together with their spouses, met with the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, and Metropolitan of Pitsunda and Sukhumi-Abkhazia Shio III.
The Administration reports that the parties also discussed spiritual ties between the peoples of the two countries.
“At the meeting, the parties discussed the historical, cultural, and spiritual ties between the two Orthodox nations and emphasized the importance of further deepening friendly bilateral relations,” the Administration’s statement reads.
