Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, speaking at a press conference with the President of Serbia, stated that Aleksandar Vučić is an “outstanding leader who consistently cares about protecting and strengthening the sovereignty and independence of his country, and does his utmost for the well-being of the Serbian people.”
According to the politician, this is the first official visit of the President of Serbia to Georgia, and it can be viewed as a “turning point for bilateral relations.”
“Relations between Georgia and Serbia are based on friendship, mutual respect, and centuries-old ties between our peoples. In addition, our countries are united by a centuries-old Christian heritage and shared values.
Our countries and authorities well understand the fundamental importance of protecting sovereignty. I would like to express my gratitude to the President for his firm support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
I am glad that we had the opportunity to discuss in detail key issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda and to consider prospects for further deepening relations. We paid special attention to the importance of political dialogue,” Kobakhidze stated.
