The third president of Georgia and founder of the United National Movement, Mikheil Saakashvili, announced that journalist Nanuka Zhorzholiani has accepted his proposal and has already begun meeting with party organizations. Saakashvili wrote about this on social media.
“At my request, Nanuka is already meeting with party organizations. This is a true constellation of veterans and the new generation. Tina Bokuchava, of course, also remains in the party as one of the leaders, with vast experience and great potential,” Saakashvili wrote.
Earlier, Saakashvili stated that his candidate for the post of chairperson of the United National Movement party is Nanuka Zhorzholiani. Following this, the current party chair, Tina Bokuchava, called the statement unexpected and expressed regret over the decision.
