Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that the main task of “Georgian Dream” is the complete neutralization of the collective “National Movement” by 2028 — this is how government representatives refer to all pro-European political parties (“Lelo”, “Ahali”, “Droa!”, and others).
“This is our main task, and they are helping us greatly in achieving it; thank you to each of them for that,” he stated.
Commenting on the situation within the opposition, the Prime Minister noted that “the more fractured this collective political force is, the better for Georgian democracy.”
“The most interesting thing is that these people do not want each other, but they want society to want them, which is unimaginable. When you do not want each other, society will not want you either. This is a very simple reality that was reflected in the elections of 2020, 2021, 2024, and 2025, and they could not escape this reality, which in the end is very good. This is a radical opposition, an anti-state group, foreign agents; accordingly, the more fractured this collective political force is, the better for Georgian democracy and our political system.
Ultimately, our main task is the complete neutralization of the collective “National Movement” by 2028. This is our main task, and they are helping us greatly in achieving it. Thank you to each of them for that,” Kobakhidze stated.
