Geno Nadirashvili, the soloist and artistic director of the Georgian vocal and instrumental ensemble Orera, has died at the age of 89. News of his death spread on social media.
Geno Nadirashvili was a member of the original lineup of the Orera ensemble and its permanent soloist. He led the group until his final days.
The musician joined the Orera ensemble in 1964 from the Rero ensemble. Throughout his career, he played the double bass and trumpet, made a significant contribution to the development of Georgian pop music, and became one of the key figures in the history of the group.
