Georgian Interior Minister Discusses Security Issues with Armenian Prime Minister

During his visit to the Republic of Armenia, Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Sulkhan Tamazashvili met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The parties discussed cooperation between Georgia and Armenia and emphasized the importance of strong, friendly relations between the two countries, the ministry reported.

“Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the fruitful cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Armenia, as well as joint efforts to effectively combat crime.

The parties also discussed the situation in the region and reiterated the strategic importance of preserving peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

At the end of the meeting, the Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs thanked Nikol Pashinyan for the meeting and emphasized the readiness of the Georgian side to continue active cooperation with Armenian colleagues in various areas,” the press service of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.

The meeting was also attended by the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Roni Meskhi, and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Arpine Sargsyan.
