The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his delegation, has arrived in Georgia on a state visit. He was met at the Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport by Maka Bochorishvili, Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to the President’s Administration, during the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is scheduled to meet with Mikheil Kavelashvili and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. Agreements and a memorandum of understanding in various fields will be signed.
“The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan will also lay a wreath at the Memorial of Heroes Who Died for the Unity of Georgia and take part in the opening ceremony of a monument to the poet Alisher Navoi,” the press service statement reads.
