Russian theater and film actor, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Bezrukov is in occupied Abkhazia. He arrived in Sukhumi for the opening of the “Echo of the Grand Children’s Festival” program, which runs from July 6 to 10.
Bezrukov is also widely known to audiences for his role as Aleksandr Belov (“Sasha Bely”) in the TV series “Brigada” (“The Brigade”), released in the early 2000s.
During his visit to Sukhumi, the Russian actor met with the de facto leader of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba, as well as the mayor of Sukhumi, Timur Agrba. Following the meeting, Bezrukov and the mayor took a walk along the city’s embankment.
Notably, this is not the first visit by Russian cultural figures to the occupied region of Georgia this year. In June, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Irina Muravyova also visited Abkhazia.
