US President Donald Trump has sent a letter to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze thanking him for his congratulations on United States Independence Day, the Administration of the Government of Georgia reports. The letter reads:
“Mr. Prime Minister, thank you very much for your congratulations on the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. Independence Day is a celebration of our nation’s founding, as well as a celebration of the freedom, resilience, and unwavering spirit that characterize the American people. We are proud of the principles that have guided our country throughout its history, and we deeply value the friendship of partners who share our respect for these ideals.
As we mark the 250th anniversary of our independence, we are grateful to you for joining us in celebrating American principles—life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
I sincerely appreciate your thoughtful message. By working together in support of sovereignty, security, and long-term prosperity, we can achieve significant progress. I look forward to strengthening our cooperation as we move together toward a safer, more prosperous, and peaceful future,” the letter from the US President reads.
