Kobakhidze Discusses Trade Development and Investments with Singapore’s Prime Minister

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Prime Minister of Singapore Lawrence Wong. The parties discussed “long-standing fruitful relations between the two countries, based on mutual respect and cooperation in areas of common interest,” according to the Administration of the Government of Georgia.

“They emphasized the importance of further stepping up political dialogue and developing cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

The leaders also discussed the potential for deepening trade, economic, and investment ties. In this context, they highlighted the implementation of economic and structural reforms in Georgia, positive economic growth dynamics, and a favorable business climate in the country.

Particular attention was paid to Georgia’s role as a link between Europe and Asia. In addition, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation in transport and tourism.

Irakli Kobakhidze invited the Prime Minister of Singapore to pay an official visit to Georgia.”
