Murtaz Zodelava, convicted in October 4 case, discharged from Vivamed clinic

Opposition politician Murtaz Zodelava, convicted in the case concerning the events of October 4, has been discharged from the Vivamed clinic. This was reported by the clinical director of the medical institution, Zurab Chkhaidze.

Speaking to Interpressnews, Chkhaidze stated that Murtaz Zodelava left the clinic on July 20.

“His health condition was stable,” Zurab Chkhaidze noted.

As a reminder, Murtaz Zodelava was transferred from a penitentiary facility to the Vivamed clinic last week following complaints of dizziness.

In the case concerning the October 4 events, Murtaz Zodelava was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment. He was charged under sub-clause “a” of Part 2 of Article 19-222 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which covers the attempted seizure and blockade of facilities of strategic and special importance, committed by a group of persons.
