Long queues have formed at the Sarpi border checkpoint on the Georgian-Turkish border, reports IPN. Citizens stated that due to the increased flow of people, they are unable to cross the border in a timely manner and are calling on authorities to take action.
“We arrived at the border early in the morning and have been trying to clear customs. You can see for yourselves how many people are here. The processing of citizens is moving far too slowly. We don’t understand what is happening. We would like to cross the border as soon as possible, but we are having to wait hours for our turn. It is particularly important that among those waiting are people traveling to Turkey for medical treatment. How can someone with health problems be forced to stand in line at customs for hours?” said one Georgian citizen at the scene.
