Tinatin Berdzenishvili has been re-elected as Director General of the Georgian Public Broadcaster for a second term. At a meeting of the Board of Trustees, eight members voted in favor of Berdzenishvili’s candidacy, while two voted against.

Only one candidate was submitted for the position of Director General of the Georgian Public Broadcaster – Tinatin Berdzenishvili.

Under Georgian law, the Director General of the Public Broadcaster is appointed by the Board of Trustees following an open competition for a term of six years.

Tinatin Berdzenishvili was first elected to the post on September 25, 2020, for a six-year term, meaning her current mandate was set to expire on September 25, 2026.
