Foreign Direct Investment in Georgia Reached $1.9 Billion in 2025

According to revised data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), foreign direct investment (FDI) in Georgia amounted to $1.9 billion in 2025. As reported by BPN.ge, this represents a 19.3% increase compared to 2024 and exceeds preliminary 2025 estimates by 12.5%.

In 2025, reinvestment accounted for 82.5% of total foreign direct investment. According to the revised figures, the top three investor countries contributed 44.4% of total FDI inflows.

In terms of foreign direct investment in Georgia in 2025, the top investor countries ranked as follows:

Additionally, Geostat reported that investment from other countries totaled $245.2 million.

Regarding the sector-by-sector distribution of foreign direct investment, Geostat data indicates that the financial and insurance activities sector led with $633.2 million, followed by real estate at $254.7 million. Rounding out the top five were trade ($191.1 million), manufacturing ($169.7 million), and transport ($168.4 million).
