The Government of Georgia will award cash bonuses to members of the national team at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, as well as to coaches, medical staff, and the administrative team.
“Under an executive order signed by Irakli Kobakhidze, the Ministry of Sport of Georgia will ensure the implementation of the relevant measures for the disbursement of the prize funds.
Prize amounts for the results achieved and participation in the XXV Olympic Winter Games have been allocated as follows: the silver medalists in figure skating (pair skating) will receive a cash prize of 51,000 GEL (approximately $20,000) and an additional bonus of 449,000 GEL (approximately $170,000), while fourth place in figure skating (team event) is allocated 6,800 GEL. In addition, those placing fourth in figure skating (team event) will receive a cash prize of 6,800 GEL and an additional 50,000 GEL. The head coach of the national figure skating team will be awarded a cash prize of 71,400 GEL.
An additional cash prize of 50,000 GEL has been designated for participation in alpine skiing events (slalom / giant slalom).
The medical staff of the Georgian Olympic team will receive a monetary reward of 42,840 GEL, and the administrative staff of the Georgian Olympic team will receive 28,560 GEL,” the government press office said in a statement.
The XXV Olympic Winter Games were held in Italy in February 2026. The Georgian Olympic team won one silver medal.
