French President Emmanuel Macron has invited Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to the first international summit on space issues, scheduled to take place on September 9–10 in Paris, the Georgian government administration has reported.

“Today, more than ever, space serves as a vital driver of influence and prosperity. The dynamism of industrial players, the growing importance of dual-use (civilian and military) applications, and intensifying competition require coordinated action to fully realize its technological potential and accelerate the sustainable and responsible development of the space economy,” the letter reads.

According to Macron, the summit will provide an opportunity to underscore the importance of dialogue and cooperation not only among nations, but also between commercial companies and multilateral institutions.

“I count on your support and look forward to welcoming you to Paris in September 2026. Mr. Prime Minister, please accept the assurances of my highest consideration,” the Georgian administration quoted the letter as stating.
