According to Lili Gelashvili, lawyer for former Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, his brother-in-law (his wife’s sister’s husband) has been dismissed from his job.
“Yesterday, a member of Irakli Garibashvili’s family, Natia Tamazashvili’s husband Levan Sanamashvili, was fired from his job without any explanation! The reason is obvious.”
Natia Tamazashvili is also a lawyer representing Irakli Garibashvili.
“Who is next?” wrote Lili Gelashvili.
The lawyer told Netgazeti that Sanamashvili is a legal professional who worked in the penitentiary system. He has 20 years of public sector work experience without a single disciplinary reprimand on his record.
Gelashvili links the dismissal to the ongoing developments surrounding Irakli Garibashvili himself. The former prime minister recently published three statements alleging blackmail and pressure from the authorities aimed at forcing him to take the blame for a new crime.
