Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze received the Acting US Ambassador in Tbilisi, Amy Diaz, at the government administration. This was their first meeting.
“I reaffirmed the Georgian government’s readiness to reset the strategic partnership with the United States of America from a clean slate, based on a concrete roadmap focused on mutual national interests,” Kobakhidze stated.
Amy Diaz has served as Chargé d’Affaires since July 2026. She brings extensive diplomatic experience, having begun her career at the US Department of State in 2002.
The previous US Ambassador, Robin Dunnigan, announced her departure from the post due to retirement in June of last year.
