Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze will participate in the COP17 leaders’ summit to be held in Yerevan in October, according to the press service of the Georgian government.
According to the press office, the head of the Georgian Cabinet was invited to the summit by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. The event will take place within the framework of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.
«A telephone conversation took place between the heads of government of the two countries. Irakli Kobakhidze thanked Nikol Pashinyan for the invitation to the summit. The parties also discussed the strategic partnership between the two nations and the positive momentum in the development of cooperation across various sectors,» the statement reads.
