Seventeen-year-old Georgian footballer Andria Bartishvili has signed a five-year contract with Arsenal. The reigning English champions acquired the player from Iberia 1999 for €4.5 million.
The London side beat out one of their principal rivals, Liverpool, in the race to sign the player.
The player has reportedly successfully passed his medical examination. Bartishvili is expected to join Arsenal’s first team in June 2027, once he reaches the age of majority. He will become the second Georgian footballer to feature in the current English league season, following Giorgi Mamardashvili.
