According to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, the country’s economy grew by 8% in July this year. Consequently, economic growth for the first seven months of the year reached 7.9%, the head of government announced at a cabinet meeting.
“We are seeing positive momentum across all areas. Very significant changes and reforms have been implemented in various sectors related to economic development. This applies to logistics, transport, communications, energy, tourism, and many other industries.
Undoubtedly, one of the primary reasons behind these strong economic indicators is progress across various sectors of the economy in different directions.
Furthermore, the fight against corruption is yielding results. One of the reasons we have been able to improve economic growth rates compared to last year is precisely that we managed to eradicate high-level corruption at the top tier of government and continue combating corruption at all levels,” the prime minister stated.
