Russia’s Federal Tax Service (FNS) has frozen the bank accounts of Tamara Gverdtsiteli’s company. According to reporting by the media outlet SHOT, the firm has accumulated a debt of 141,000 rubles (around $1,700).
The company “Tamara Gverdtsiteli Studio”, owned by the 64-year-old People’s Artist of Russia, was registered in 2000. Through this LLC (limited liability company), the singer entered into contracts and rendered performing arts services, the outlet reports. Over its entire period of operation, the company concluded nine performance contracts for Gverdtsiteli totaling 4.3 million rubles, with the last one executed in 2018.
“In the summer of 2018, Tamara Gverdtsiteli registered as an individual entrepreneur (IP) and completely abandoned her LLC—ceasing to submit financial reports and file tax returns. As a result, a debt of 141,000 rubles accumulated, which the singer has failed to settle for two years now. In 2026, bailiffs initiated enforcement proceedings, and in July, the FNS suspended all transactions on the company’s accounts,” SHOT reports.
Tamara Gverdtsiteli left Russia in early 2022, canceling all her concerts. The artist currently resides primarily in Tbilisi. She performs periodically in Georgia, as well as in the United States, Europe, Israel, and other countries.
