At the World Judo Championships taking place in Baku, Georgian athlete Tato Grigalashvili clinched the gold medal in the under-81 kg weight category.
In the final bout, Grigalashvili defeated host nation competitor Zelim Tckaev in extra time to secure the world title for the fourth time.
Notably, the 26-year-old Georgian judoka competed in the world championship final for the sixth consecutive time, having previously claimed the world title in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2026.
