“The European Commission’s enlargement report will be published in three weeks. The previous report was devastating for Georgia, and since then the situation has only worsened,” EU Ambassador to Georgia Paweł Herczyński told reporters.
“Unfortunately, what incoming European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said is disappointing and deeply saddening to me personally. However, this is the outcome of consistent steps taken by the current government, adopted laws, and anti-European rhetoric. Regrettably, these are the consequences.
As for the integration process itself, the European Commission will present its next enlargement report in three weeks. I will hold another press conference. The EU High Representative and the Commissioner for Enlargement will speak at a briefing in Brussels, so let us wait and see what their key message will be,” Herczyński said.
