Rospotrebnadzor (Russia’s federal consumer rights watchdog) has banned the import and sale of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from several Georgian producers in Russia. The agency reportedly identified violations of organoleptic, physicochemical, and safety standards, media outlet RBC reported, citing its sources.
The ban affects Nabeghlavi mineral water (produced by Healthy Water), Coca-Cola, wines from producers Tbilvino, Teliani Veli, and Wine Man, beer from the Georgian Beer Company (Zedazeni), as well as brandy and wine from Askaneli Brothers.
The newspaper Kommersant reported that Rospotrebnadzor has not yet officially confirmed the ban.
