Tbilisi Mayor and Secretary General of the Georgian Dream party Kakha Kaladze, commenting on the large-scale protests in Europe, stated that “the trouble they caused in Georgia, they are now seeing in their own countries.” Kaladze once again accused unspecified external forces of fomenting chaos in the country.
“The developments that have unfolded in Georgia in recent years—the establishment of violent organizations, their funding, their encouragement verbally and through public messaging… Ambassadors from various nations spoke out, prime ministers of European states visited, and there was not even a question of condemnation—they came directly to the rallies, delivered speeches there, and cheered on these violent groups. This is an utter disaster.
The disaster they orchestrated in Georgia took place with their funding; these were not random events. They have been completely exposed, and the public knows full well who acted against Georgia and in what manner. The trouble they caused in Georgia is what they are now seeing in their own countries—given the developments taking place there. Violence is unacceptable, and what we see in the footage is simply unthinkable. The exact same thing happened in Georgia—surely you remember what the atmosphere was like,” Kaladze stated.
