The United National Movement has left the Opposition Alliance. The party’s press service confirmed the information to the media outlet Publika.
A day earlier, the Alliance published an updated logo on its Facebook page, from which the National Movement’s symbols had already been removed.
Irakli Pavlenishvili, chairman of the interim governing council of the United National Movement, had repeatedly stated that there were disagreements on certain issues with the member parties of the opposition bloc.
According to him, members of the Alliance had engaged in attacks and insults directed at the National Movement and its leaders.
As a reminder, on March 2, 2026, nine pro-Western parties founded the Opposition Alliance — “Unity for Common Victory!”. According to the political forces, they had agreed on a shared strategy and joint rules of engagement.
The opposition alliance currently comprises: Ahali, Girchi – More Freedom, Droa!, European Georgia, Strategy Aghmashenebeli, the Federalists, Freedom Square, and the National Democratic Party.
The coalition names replacing Bidzina Ivanishvili’s “autocratic regime,” restoring Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic trajectory, and defending democracy as its primary goals.
