“War criminal Vladimir Putin is using the port of Anaklia,” stated U.S. Congressman and Co-Chairman of the Helsinki Commission Joe Wilson during commission hearings focused on Iranian support for Russia.
“The Iranian regime is helping Russia bypass sanctions and continue funding its deadly war machine.
War criminal Putin is using the Georgian port of Anaklia, controlled by the Chinese Communist Party, to supply weapons to Iran and is cooperating with an illegitimate regime in Georgia that must be replaced through fair and free elections,” Wilson stated.
The Congressman believes that “Iran and Russia are particularly active in Georgia.”
“They support the anti-American ‘Georgian Dream’ (Kartuli Otsneba) regime, which is illegitimate. The cooperation between ‘Georgian Dream’ and war criminal Putin is perfectly clear, as is the cooperation with the Iranian regime.
The Chinese Communist Party controls the Black Sea port of Anaklia to manage the trade of rare metals with Central Asia. Thus, this has much broader implications,” the Congressman noted.
