Due to a high risk of avalanches, all types of vehicular traffic have been temporarily prohibited on the Gudauri–Kobi section of the Mtskheta–Stepantsminda–Lars international highway.
Meanwhile, according to the National Environmental Agency, traffic on the Mleta–Gudauri section is operating under a non-stop transit regime.
Traffic remains unrestricted on all other sections of the highway, according to the Roads Department (Department of Automobile Roads).
