In 2025, 2,333 individuals were granted Georgian citizenship, which is 1,254 fewer than the 2024 figure of 3,587, according to data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In terms of country of origin, citizens of the Russian Federation accounted for the largest share of those granted citizenship in 2025, totaling 1,393 people (nearly 60%).
