The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has filed charges against activist Lazare Grigoriadis for making threats. Specifically, a statement released by the agency says:
“An investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that on April 24 in Tbilisi, at the entrance to the Meteor nightclub, the defendant, dissatisfied with being removed from the premises, brandished a knife and threatened a bar employee with death and bodily harm.
Law enforcement officers detained the accused on the same day.
He has been charged under Part 1 of Article 151 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (threat of death or bodily harm, when the person threatened has reasonable grounds to fear the threat will be carried out), which carries a penalty of up to one year in prison,” the statement reads.
