The Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic (AR) of Adjara has voted to confirm Zurab Pataradze as Chairman of the Government. Members of the Cabinet of Ministers were also elected.
Nino Nizharadze was appointed as the head of the Ministry of Health of the AR Adjara, Maya Khajishvili as Minister of Education and Sports, Eliso Bolkvadze as Minister of Culture of Adjara, Denis Salukvadze as Minister of Agriculture, and Ednar Nataradze as Minister of Finance and Economy.
Prior to the vote, Pataradze presented an action plan to his colleagues and answered their questions.
According to the head of the Adjara AR, all major projects initiated in the region will be continued.
Pataradze outlined priorities related to healthcare, education, sports, culture, and tourism development. He stated that he would work alongside his political team to foster the region’s development.
Members of the opposition from the “Gakharia – For Georgia” party did not participate in the vote to elect the Chairman of the Adjara Government.
