Armenia and Georgia will host the 2029 FIFA U-20 World Cup. This was announced by football’s world governing body, FIFA, in a post on the X social network.
“This will be the first-ever FIFA tournament to be held in either country,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, according to Armenian media reports, the announcement was also made during a meeting of the FIFA Council held on April 28, 2026, in Vancouver, Canada.
