A landslide has occurred on the approach to the town of Oni. According to the Roads Department, the roadway has been partially cleared; however, rockfalls from the slope remain active.
“Representatives from the Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure and local authorities are on-site to monitor the landslide activity and assess the current situation.
To ensure safety, vehicle traffic has been restricted in this section.
Specialist climbers will also be deployed to the area. Representatives from the relevant services remain on the scene as necessary measures continue,” the statement reads.
