Giorgi Margebadze, head of the Association of Small and Medium Hydroelectric Power Plants (HPPs), who has been accused of assault by journalist Gela Mtivlishvili, responded to the allegations in a Facebook post.
«The broadcast ended; you called me out, both of you insulted me, you tried to lunge at me with your fists — I beat you to the punch.
HPPs? Yes! As many HPPs as possible — for the sake of our country’s success!!!» Margebadze writes.
It should be noted that journalist Gela Mtivlishvili stated that he had been attacked. He wrote on social media that he sustained facial injuries as a result of the assault. Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has already launched an investigation into the incident.
