Journalist Gela Mtivlishvili has stated that he was the victim of an assault.
Writing on social media, Mtivlishvili noted that he sustained facial injuries as a result of the attack.
“Immediately after leaving the broadcast, I was attacked by Marghebadze, an HPP [hydroelectric power plant] lobbyist and a criminal element linked to ‘Georgian Dream’ [the ruling party]. My face is injured. I have contacted the police. He will be held accountable for this!” the journalist wrote.
