The Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has simplified the registration procedure for the practical driving test for candidates whose mandatory 365-day period for obtaining a driver’s license is approaching its expiration.
This applies to citizens who have not managed to pass the driving test within one year of registration. They will now be able to record their data more quickly and book a retake via the 1272 hotline.
The agency specified that the changes only affect the registration procedure and are aimed at streamlining the examination process.
The rules for registering for the practical exam based on the time elapsed since the last attempt were also announced:
- if more than 30 days have passed since the previous attempt, the candidate falls into the “scheduled registration” category;
- if less than 30 days have passed, “unscheduled registration” applies.
The Agency noted that the new scheme is intended to make the process more transparent and convenient for candidates.
